You Looked.

The toughest write-up almost everyone has to do at least once in their lifetime is the one titled “About Me”. I think its quite a challenge to write something about yourself that people care to read. This is all the more true, if you are not one of those “successful” people out there. So here’s an interesting about me. I promise, I have tried to keep it short.

I’m a very ordinary person. The days I do not feel so, I like to stand in a crowd and see how many people stop for my autograph. I believe being content with life is of utmost importance, and finding happiness in small things the key to living it. I can not imagine life without humor, and its an integral part of my life. My humor’s not always funny funny, but enough to keep myself amused. I smile a lot, and that keeps me going through the day :)

I graduated with a Master’s in Computer Engineering at the University of Florida recently, which although challenging, was a very gratifying experience. I earlier did my Bachelorette in Electronics and Communication which was also pretty absorbing. But during the course of my B.S. I realized that my heart was set in programming. And so after my undergrad I switched my major. The switch wasn’t the easiest phase of my life, but has brought out the best in me.

Creativity is what defines me. Be it sketching, writing or playing music – people always associate me with creativity. I like that.

My username neotaruntius is something that people find very peculiar. Taruntius is the name of a crater on the moon and interestingly (to me), my first name, Tarun is a substring of taruntius. The “Neo” part in the username is an obvious borrowing from the movie “The Matrix”, a film whose concept still arouses in me the endless possibilities that might be.

I love my family. Nothing could make me realize that more than living away from them. My father, Dr. Anil Aggrawal, is a Professor of Forensic Medicine at Maulana Azad Medical College, and I really look upto him for his academic excellence. I have admired and aimed to be like him since my earliest memories of him, but am still miles away from becoming even an iota of what he is. I look upto my mother, Mrs, Marygold Gupta, a lecturer in Organic Chemistry, for her selfless love and devotion that she has showered upon the family. She has been the binding force in our wonderful family and has given to me, more than I could ever ask for.
